Provide the cleanest available logo file, preferably a high-resolution image with clear colors and simple edges. Complex logos can still work, but very small text and thin lines may require adjustment. The proof shows how the logo reads at the selected size before production. Confirm internally that the organization permits use of its logo and brand assets for the project.

A retirement mosaic can document an entire career without becoming a formal corporate report. Use one clear portrait as the main image and include teams, offices, projects, conferences, awards and informal workplace moments inside it. Photo mosaics for schools, universities and nonprofits
Educational and nonprofit organizations can use photo mosaics for anniversaries, alumni projects, fundraising auctions, donor recognition and community exhibitions. A school logo, campus building, retiring headteacher or symbolic image can be formed from class photographs, performances, sports, clubs, staff and archival material.
The organization should follow its existing image-consent and safeguarding policies, particularly when children or vulnerable people are identifiable. When individual portraits are not appropriate, the collection can use public events, buildings, student artwork, project material and meaningful objects. How many photographs are needed?
A minimum of 200 smaller photographs is required. For the best variety, we recommend approximately 500–1,000. Larger archives can also be used, particularly for organizations covering many years, offices or departments. The exact number of photographs does not determine the physical size; size should be selected according to viewing distance, available wall space and required detail.
If fewer unique photographs are available, selected images can repeat. Duplicates are positioned apart to make repetition less noticeable. Original camera or phone files are preferable to screenshots and compressed messaging-app copies. Printed archival photographs can be scanned or photographed clearly in soft, even light.
Collecting photographs from a large team
Choose one project coordinator and create a shared folder using Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud or another approved service. Suggested subfolders include “Main Image,” “Early Years,” “Teams,” “Projects,” “Events” and “Recent Photos.” Contributors do not need to rename every file, but the main logo or portrait should be clearly labeled.
For a large organization, request a limited number of meaningful photographs from each department or location. This produces better balance than allowing one team to dominate the archive. Set a contribution deadline and appoint one final approver who can combine internal feedback into a single revision request.
Privacy, permissions and confidential material
The client is responsible for confirming that submitted photographs, logos and brand assets may be used for the commissioned artwork. Do not upload confidential documents, customer information, medical records, restricted locations or images that were never intended for display. Schools, healthcare providers and public organizations should apply their own consent and information-security rules.

- Digital file: a high-resolution 300 DPI JPG prepared for the approved dimensions and delivered by email.
- Photo print: premium semi-gloss 200 gsm paper for framing or presentation.
- Canvas print: ready-to-hang artwork with a softer gallery appearance.
- Wood-framed print: classic presentation in black, white, oak or ash.
- Metal-framed print: slim black aluminum for contemporary offices.
- Acrylic print: glossy 4 mm acrylic with vivid color and depth.
We recommend at least 16 × 20 inches for a personal presentation piece. Office installations and event displays often benefit from larger sizes because viewers need room to recognize the individual photographs. The main image’s proportions and the intended wall should be considered before the final dimensions are confirmed.
Corporate photo mosaic process
- Share the project purpose, main image, approximate photograph count, preferred size and required date.
- Select a digital or physical format.
- Upload the main image and smaller photographs through a shared folder.
- Receive a digital proof for internal review.
- Request free revisions to crop, color balance or overall composition.
- Approve the final design before production.
- Receive the high-resolution file or tracked physical artwork.

Production and worldwide delivery
Production begins after all photographs have been received and the design is approved. The digital file normally requires 3 business days. Photo prints require approximately 6 business days, canvas and framed prints approximately 7 business days, and acrylic approximately 10–12 business days.
Delivery for physical products is additional and commonly requires approximately 4–6 business days, depending on the destination. AtelierMosaics works with professional printing partners in the United States, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Whenever possible, production is arranged closer to the delivery address to reduce unnecessary international transit and support practical delivery times.
For an event with a fixed date, allow extra time for collecting photographs, internal approval and revisions. When the schedule is very close, the 300 DPI digital file can be supplied for local printing or presentation.
